Jago Steel was appointed to design and install the permanent balustrade to the precast concrete stair at Byley Multi-Storey Car Park.

Using the Treadform system, the Jago Steel team designed a balustrade solution built around the precast stair units. The Treadform fixing method suited the precast construction, giving a secure, permanent installation and a clean finish along each flight and landing.

All steelwork was hot-dip galvanised for long-term protection against corrosion. This matters in a car park, where stair cores are often exposed to the weather, moisture and heavy daily use. The galvanised finish gives a durable, low-maintenance result built to last for the life of the structure.

Jago Steel handled the project from design through to installation on site, working closely with the main contractor to fit the balustrade into the build programme. The completed installation now offers car park users a safe, robust and compliant stair balustrade that reflects the building.
